The title: The Russian-Ukrainian War and the Arctic Indigenous: An International and Russian Levels.
Abstract. The lecture consists of two parts. First. International level. It concerns how political divisions amongst the Arctic states, dramatically exacerbated by the war in the Ukraine, are reflected to the International Indigenous Organizations and tribes? How far has the process of confrontation gone between aboriginal organizations on both sides of the divided Arctic? How do activists from the International Committee of Indigenous Peoples (ICIPR) fight with Russian state for the rights of Indigenous Peoples? ICIPR consists of activists from Indigenous peoples who were forced to leave Russia because of repressions of the Russian authorities. Second. Russian domestic polar level: the view of Indigenous Peoples of the Russian north to the Russian invasion to Ukraine. Is it true that the Russian propaganda claim that Indigenous Peoples widely support the Russian war in Ukraine? Are there any voices of dissent among Indigenous peoples with this war? Have Indigenous Peoples become a particular target for mobilization to the war?
