We are pleased to share that Prof. Arbakhan Magomedov, Research Affiliate of our Center and Visiting Professor from February to April 2025, has published a new article: “A new Muslim geography of northern Eurasia and Islamic identity in Russia's Arctic regions,” in Polar Geography. This article explores how the migration of Islamic peoples to the Russian Far North creates new communities, identities, and infrastructure for their everyday lives.
