現在、東北の沿岸地域において漁業や文化が気候変動や災害、人口減少などの影響を受けるなど様々な課題が生じています。このワークショップでは、専門家と学生、一般の方が協力し、海と人が共生する社会を実現するアイデアを考えて発信します。環境・経済・社会など広い視点を取り入れながら、海洋や沿岸社会の未来についての新たなアイデアや仲間との出会いを育む機会にしてみませんか。

 

海洋物理学、生態学、文化人類学、社会経済学、水産事業者といった専門家たちが課題とアプローチを語るトークイベント（ワークショップの一部を公開）はオンラインでも参加できます。海と人との関わりについて他の学術分野の知見を得たい海洋研究の専門家の方も、ぜひご覧ください。

The coastal regions of Tohoku are currently facing various challenges, including the effects of climate change, natural disasters, and shifts in population that influence fisheries and cultural activities. In response, experts, students, and general publics are coming together for a workshop to explore and share ideas on how people and the ocean can coexist sustainably. Through dialogues spanning environment, culture, and society, this event offers a chance to spark fresh ideas for ocean-related research and coastal communities, as well as opportunities to connect with new collaborators.

 

The talk session, featuring experts from diverse fields—including ocean physics, ecology, cultural anthropology, socioeconomics, and the fisheries industry—who will discuss key challenges and possible solutions (as part of the workshop open to the public), can also be attended online.
