Evolutionary History of Cultural Evolution
Genetic inheritance and cultural transmission are the means through which organisms, including humans, transmit information to the next generation. I aim to comprehend biological and cultural diversity through their interaction., i.e., gene-culture coevolution. To this end, I utilize a wide variety of approaches, though currently with quantitative methods such as mathematical modelling and statistical analysis as a pivotal role in my research. Additionally, we are facing a challenging social situation against academic knowledge production, such as due to population decline, and the accumulated knowledge on human history is beyond the capacity of an individual scholar. Consequently, I also engage in developing research infrastructure towards a renewed way of understanding and knowledge accumulation.
