Professor Motoyuki Sato received the IEICE Best Paper Award

The paper by Professor Sato et al. was selected for the 2020 Paper Award by Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), and the award ceremony (web) was held on June 3. Target paper "Displacement / vibration measurement by GB-SAR (Ground-Based Synthetic Aperture Radar)" (Motoyuki Sato, Lilong Zhou, Giovanni Nico (Italian National Research Council), Kazutaka Kikuta, IEICE Transactions B, November 2019 ) Is a compilation of cutting-edge research on GB-SAR used for monitoring landslides and social infrastructure. The research team of Professor Sato and others has used GB-SAR to ensure safety in large-scale landslide areas caused by the Iwate Miyagi Nairiku Earthquake and the Kumamoto Earthquake. Professor Sato received the same award (Kiyasu Zenichi Award) for his paper on landmine detection radar (ALIS) in 2016 as well.
